Copper's Supply Crunch Is Building. Here's Why It Matters

Copper has quietly become one of the world's most strategically important metals.

Global copper inventories have recently climbed to their highest level in more than two decades, reaching approximately 1.1 million metric tonnes. Yet despite increased stockpiles, prices have remained resilient at around US$12,200 per tonne, reflecting a market that is looking well beyond today's supply.

The reason is simple: demand is accelerating faster than the industry can develop new mines.

Artificial intelligence infrastructure, hyperscale data centres, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems and large-scale grid modernisation all require significant amounts of copper. As governments and industry continue investing in electrification, long-term forecasts point to a widening structural supply deficit.

Unlike many commodities, bringing new copper production online is measured in years, often decades. Exploration, permitting, infrastructure development and mine construction all require substantial investment and time, making quality copper assets increasingly valuable.

Positioned in One of the World's Premier Copper Districts

Through its strategic partnership with American Lithium Minerals Inc. (OTC: AMLM), which holds a 19% ownership stake in Cunningham Mining, the Company is part of a growing international portfolio that includes the Furano Copper-Gold Project in northern Chile.

Located in the Tarapacá Region, the project covers approximately 9,000 hectares within one of the world's most prolific porphyry copper belts. The region hosts globally recognised deposits, including Escondida and Chuquicamata, demonstrating the exceptional geological potential of the district.

Porphyry systems are among the world's largest and longest-life sources of copper, supplying much of the metal that powers modern economies. Their scale makes them strategically important as global demand continues to rise.

Building Exposure to Future Demand

While Cunningham Mining's flagship asset remains its placer gold project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, the Company's relationship with AMLM provides shareholders with exposure to a broader portfolio spanning precious metals, critical minerals and copper across four continents.

As the global energy transition accelerates and AI-driven infrastructure continues expanding, projects with strong geological foundations and strategic locations are becoming increasingly valuable.

In mining, timing matters.

The companies already advancing high-quality exploration projects today will be best positioned to meet tomorrow's demand.

10 projects. 7 jurisdictions. 4 continents. Building the resources that power the future.
